S. J. TRIOLA
Sydney & Jake

We were born three weeks apart in a 1998 Erie, Pennsylvania. We went to the same middle and high school, hardly making contact until we went to the senior prom together (by happenstance, and as friends) in 2016. We planned our marriage three weeks later. By the time we wed in January 2020, we had finished our undergrad degrees in separate states, lived together in Edinburgh, Scotland for a four months, and moved back to our hometown for a stint. We relocated back in Scotland (Glasgow, this time) the summer after our wedding. During this time of newlywed international isolation, we slowly hatched our collaborative, self-led business.
We’re both people of many interests and, humbly, many skills. We value our time and are working carefully to spend it doing things that we think matter. We want to create a brand that reflects us and our slow, weaving, intricate way of life. We hope that S. J. Triola is able to show you who we are, and what we aim to be.

SYDNEY SHADECK-TRIOLA
I'm a life-long dabbler and current textile enthusiast. I recently earned my Masters in Research from the University of Glasgow, with community engagement at the core of my studies. I'm perpetually obsessed with the ideas of home, belonging, comfort and joy, and always searching for ways to work these themes into everything I do. I love the always changing processes of creation. I sew, I draw, I paint, I learn. I'm here to build a simple, kind, and ethical life. I'm here to make things that make people feel loved.

JAKE TRIOLA
I'm a former film student who has a current preoccupation with creating music and undertaking all that it involves, from the studio to the stage to the store. I aim to combine the totally universal and totally personal through handmade pop tunes that, when I succeed, get catchier with each release. Though I hope to simply describe the way the light hits the water, my personality always works its way in and complicates things with bigger ideas. This unconscious (and thoroughly bohemian) way of working ties together all my output, including albums, photo prints, and feature films.
